The Diary Secretary of, Gordon Brown, the Prime Minister writes: 'The Prime Minister has asked me to thank you for your letter of 20th June inviting him to address/teach your students about the work of a Prime Minister. Sadly, the Prime Minister's existing diary commitents for the foreseeable future mean it is not possible for him to join you, and he must therefore decline your kind invitation. ... the Prime Minister has asked me to pass on to you and your students his good wishes.' Eventually, the judges decided in favour of Blake/Amrin as the strongest team, and following Blake's very focused summing upon the law. In the second contest two good performances from Jade/Hayley saw them win through to the third round despite a good effort by Aayushi/Safiya. more »
