After four long years at University I have scrambled my way through and achieved my LL.B.
Many of the techniques that you taught me when I was a student at Strodes are the very skills that I used through out the whole of my degree. Please read this to your new students many of whom in the AS year might believe that your methods are a bit ex-centric and unnecessary! To all who are hearing this message I once a spotty 16 year old sitting in-front of that very same man and thought exactly the same. However it was only when I arrived at university that I begun to appreciate the methods and priceless techniques that I was taught.

I just thought you would be pleased to know that I was awarded a First Class Honours in my Law Degree from Kent University. I am doing the LPC next September which I am looking forward to and then starting my training contract at a city law firm soon after.
Thank you once again for your excellent teaching at Strode's, it honestly did prepare me for university. Were it not for me thoroughly enjoying studying law at Strode's, I may not have embarked upon a career in law, thus I have much to thank you for. All the best for the future, and if you ever need someone to attempt to inspire your students feel free to ask! Taymour Keen

I am a past student of yours graduating in 2006. I'm currently in the second year of a LLB law degree at London South Bank University studying alongside a Mr John Godfrey. I wanted to just send a quick email to ask for your permission to use some of your materials on your website to help me with my course, it would be much apprieciated if could.
I hope all is well at Strodes College and I would like to thank you for helping me to decide to take on a Law Degree as its been the best choice I think I've ever made (other than going to Strodes College obviously). Best wishes for the Future.
King regards, John Tranter (Jan 2009).

It has been a while and I have been meaning to sit down and write this e-mail to you, just to inform you and again thank you for the support and faith you put in me. I have successfully completed my first year at university reading law, and I did so in style, I achieved a high 2:1 close to edging a 1st, however this can only be promising as I did not put my full potential as was socializing and adapting to university, however if it were not for you teaching that would not have been the outcome, your teaching methods and delivery is world-class and would loved if you had taught me this degree, your methods of teaching have inevitably helped me truly, I taught fellow students the read and precis methods lol, and they loved them! my highest marks came from criminal law unsurprisingly due to yourself! I cannot thank you enough and words cannot explain that it were your law classes which made me fall deeply in love with this subject ...

I would just like to take this opportunity to thank you for all your help and support over the last two years. Your enthusiasm and kindness has made law an extremely enjoyable subject and I'm looking forward to studying it at uni. I will miss you but will keep in touch, I am sure that the read and precis will come in handy at uni! Wishing you all the best in your future.

Just mailing to express a massive thank you for all of your support throughout my Criminal Law A2 year. The work load is insane here at Cambridge but I began with an advantage due to my familiarisation with read-and-precis.

When I first started A2 Law I had an idea as to why you gave us essays regularly, why your deadlines where strict and why you made us complete out case notes and read and précis. Now I'm at St Mary's University it's so much more clear as to why you made us work so hard. I'm so pleased you taught me to argue both sides and not just agree, because I now leave students in my Business Law Lectures and Seminars speechless, and I achieved a 2:1 in my first Business Law report.
Thank You.

Its Iysha Stanley, one of your A-level law students, from two years ago.
I am just emailing you to inform you about my progress and to thank you and Mrs. Lindley for your help in my A level Law course.
I am currently studying an LLB Law degree at Westminster University and was successful in gaining first class grades last year (in my first year). I am also the 2nd year law student representative, regularly giving presentations and conducting meetings with faculty and students.
I also am currently applying for vacation placements and training contracts at magic circle solicitor firms in London (Allen and Overy is my favorite) and i am so excited about the future.
Hopefully you will read this email out to your current students, as I would like to advise them to enjoy their A-level law experience and attend absolutely every session they can. I made the mistake of not attending all of my classes in my second year, which resulted in me going down from an A grade student, to receiving an overall B grade. I was gutted and wished i could go back and attend the classes I missed. With this in mind, don't make the same mistake, be sensible and attend the classes.
When looking back, the mooting competition I took part in at college was one of the best things i have ever done. It was hard work and time consuming, with all the research, however it put me in such good stead for University and allowed me to obtain the 2nd highest grade in the Mooting module, I took part in, last year.
Also the set up of the college Law module was excellent. The way it was organised and the work required (the precis and essays) reflects exactly what is required to do well at University. The same system is followed at Westminster and because of this I felt like I had a good advantage over the other students on my course.
Thank you for everything. The A-level Law course has allowed me to aspire to many great things and still assists me now.
Any way I have to go because I have reading to do.
Best wishes,
Iysha Stanley.

It was tough being taught by you at times, but we also had some laughs, given the chance however I wouldn't have changed it for the world because it was you and other teachers in the department of laws that helped me realise what is was that I wanted to do with my life, and for that I am forever thankful.
Take care of yourself and I hope the department and the college as a whole goes from strength to strength.

Peter,
Congratulations to you and your colleagues on another excellent set of results, particularly in A2 Law, Citizenship and Politics. I found the last of these particularly encouraging. The honesty and commitment to further continuous improvement evident within the analysis is also most impressive.
Dr Frank Botham (Principal) 21st August 2006.

I also wanted to thank you for allowing me to come in and help with the mooting competition and year 10 days; I’ve really enjoyed doing so and found it an interesting and useful experience.
