Staff in the Department of Laws have consulted with Officers of the Laws Studies Board, and Laws students, over changes to the homework self-assessment sheet. As a result of this consultation, we have a new self-assessment sheet - see attached. A fully completed 'Self-assessment sheet' MUST be attached to all scheduled homework.

When completing the 'Self-assessment sheet' students are now required to go back to the 'Homework Report Form' attached to their last piece of homework and to explain how they have met the targets (i.e. areas for improvement) which were set then.

Students should be aware that they will need to discuss/justify what they have written on the 'Self-Assessment Sheet' when they have a one-to-one interview with their teacher. If, for example, you were asked last time to improve your essay, by giving a bibliography and footnotes, and you have done nothing about it - you cannot expect a pat on the back and being told - "Well Done - You are ignoring all the advice being given".
