My kitten called 'Talent' ...

If you are at the thinking/planning stage of your extended project: Be creative is my advice. In doing your project, you need to show that you are extending yourself beyond the norm.

Being creative brings a self induced buzz to your work. It gives you the freedom to think outside the constraints of the traditional ideas of others. It enables you to enjoy learning, because it frees the individual inside yourself. It enables you to build upon the ideas of others, and demonstrate the creator within yourself. See/hear the 'EPQ Planning and referencing' podcast. Make use of the iMindmap software, since it aids creative thinking (it is on the computers in TRA-17).

That being said, you still have to work within the parameters of assessment. As well as doing the project, you are advised to produce a paper (if necessary a separate paper) that sets out the 'aims' and 'objectives' of your project, with an important 'evaluation' of the work that you have undertaken. This 'evaluation paper' is extremely important to your project because it puts you into the 'higher marks' category when it comes to assessment.
