'Mooting and Debating' has been approved by AQA as a new Personal Development activity for the 'AQA Baccalaureate'.  It is also possible that a student could develop an 'Extended Project Qualification' out of mooting (for example, get somebody to film one of the moots in which you participate and produce legal case arguments for each of the moots - together with an 'evaluation sheet'). See Dr Jepson.

So, when you participate in the Mooting Competition you will be able to record in your online 'Enrichment Diary' the hours you have spent preparing and delivering your moot(s). In addition, you can supplement those hours with time you spend preparing any debates and participating in debates held by the Debating Society.  This should easily establish the minimum of 30 hours required for Personal Development.

Ms Incledon will provide a letter, at the end of your involvement in the Mooting Competition, to verify the hours you spent while mooting. Attach this in your E-Diary as evidence of your involvement and hour etc.
